New Employee Onboarding โ€” Step 1 of 5

Employee Info Pre-Hire Day 1 Documents First 30 Days Summary
Step 1 โ€” Employee Information
Enter the new employee's basic details. This information will appear on all documents and records.
Step 2 โ€” Pre-Hire Status
Confirm all pre-hire tasks are complete before the employee's first day. Mark each item Pending, Complete, or N/A.
Step 3 โ€” Day 1 Documents
Check off each document as it is received and signed. Record the date received for each item.

I-9 Deadline: Section 2 must be completed by end of Day 3. Wage Theft Prevention Notice must be delivered on Day 1.
Step 4 โ€” First 30 Days
Track critical compliance tasks due within the employee's first 30 days.

Review the complete onboarding record before saving. Incomplete required items are highlighted below.

Step 1 โ€” Employee & Separation Details
Enter the departing employee's information and the type of separation.
Step 2 โ€” Final Pay Calculator
Calculate the final paycheck amount and due date. All accrued vacation must be included.

Lab. Code ยง201: Involuntary termination โ€” final pay due at time of discharge. Voluntary with 72+ hrs notice โ€” due on last day. Late payment triggers waiting time penalties (ยง203).
